We have Windows and Doors!!

Well today since it was half way nice out I went to go and see what they have been working on in the house. To my surprise we have all doors and windows in the house. I have included pictures of the progress that has happened.

Front Door-The door is just a construction door. The actual door will have glass in it to match the sidelights.

Last week we also got Aidan's 2 year pictures taken along with our family picture taken. I have included a couple of those pictures too!

House update

Well we finally have windows in our house. There are a about 4 windows that still need to be put in but other wise all the windows are in. We also have the Tyvek paper on the outside and most of the soffits up. I have included some of the most recent pictures.

Basement Floor

We also finally have our Christmas tree up. I have been kind of lazy about it but I finally got it up. Aidan helped me put it up. Here are a couple of pictures:

House Progress

Well for the house we have our plumbing all roughed in for the basement. That was done all last week.

Today they came and poured half of our basement floor. We also have our temporary heat on now too. I think by the end of the week or the beginning of next week we will start seeing some siding and windows and doors going in!! That will be wonderful to get that all done so they can start working on the inside.

Weekend

Well thank goodness the weekend is over with!!

Friday I had my doctor appointment. Everything is doing really well. I gained a little weight and I was measuring 33.5 cm. So I am a little bigger than what I should be but I grew proportionately from the last time so I didn't get to have another ultrasound :(.

Saturday came and ended up being a long day. Aidan woke up and we had some orange juice and then he started puking. It was not fun especially since this was the first time he has ever been sick like that. He also had some high fevers but we got them under control with Tylenol and Motrin. We also bought a new thermometer that works awesome!! Steve loved it and had to play with it a while. Aidan actually doesn't mind it either.

Sunday came and it was a pretty calm day. Aidan was feeling better but we still just hung around home since we weren't sure if we should go anywhere yet.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Well we have come to my favorite holiday of the year. I absolutely love Thanksgiving because it is about eating and spending time with family. This year we didn't have any plans to go anywhere so I made my first Thanksgiving feast! It was kind of fun but stressful at the same time. I wanted to make sure everything was perfect and it turned out pretty good. There are a couple of things that I would change the next time. Below are some pictures of all the food that I made.

As for our house--we now have a garage floor and steps going into the front door. We no longer have to walk on 2 boards to get into the house!! Hopefully next week they will started putting in windows or getting our basement floor poured.

Progress of our house

This week was a big week for our house. We finally have all of the shingles on and we have the temporary heater in place just not turned on yet. The masonry people will be coming Monday to pour the cement for our garage. I have included some pictures so you can see the progress.

28 Week Doctor Appointment

Well I went to the doctor on Friday for my 28 week appointment. Everything is going well. I only gained a pound this last month which is really good for me!! I got to hear the baby's heartbeat which was in the 150's. The doctor also told me that my hemoglobin was kind of low and that I should remember to take my prenatal vitamins everyday. I will have that checked again in a month and if it is still low I will have to take an extra iron pill. I told my doctor so you are going to give another pill that I can forget to take. Dr. Goerish also measured my stomach and I was measuring 31 and should have measured 28 so if I am still measuring big then I will be getting another ultrasound. This happened with Aidan also so I am not worried but I would like another ultrasound. I am carrying very high and so the doctor said that this is probably why I am measuring big.

Aidan's Doctor appointment

Well Aidan went to his 2 year appointment yesterday. Everything went well. He doesn't have to get any shots until he starts school so that is really good. I hated going to the doctor while he had to get shots. He is a growing boy though. He is 35 1/2" tall (79%). He weighs 32 lbs and 7 ozs (91%).

Since Aidan turned 2 I changed his bed from a crib to the toddler bed. He is very proud of his bed.

Hello Everyone!!

I am starting this blog to keep you all up to date with our lives. The Schmidt family has a lot of changes for this year. We are going to be having a baby in February. We are very excited for this! We are also building a new house. This is very exciting because we are going to have so much more space for all of our things and our family!

I will try to update this frequently. I will also try to add some pictures of Aidan and our house that we are building.
