House Progress

Well our house has come a long ways since the last time. We now have water running, all the walls are enclosed, textured and painted. We now have trim on the windows. All the electrical is done they are just now putting the finishing touches on. Yesterday we got our vinyl floors put in the bathrooms. We also are starting to get the rock put on the front of our house.

This is the platform that they used when they dry walled and putting the electrical in.

This is the trim work on the upper windows.
The master bathroom floor. This is the same flooring in the upstairs bath too.

Trim work around the windows.

Paint color for the whole house. This is the kitchen thoughAidan showing off the closets in his bedroom.

Railing for the loft and the stairs.

We are hoping to be into our house in the middle of May I was hoping for this month but I guess it isn't going to work out. We are all getting really excited to move especially Aidan. There is so much more space for him to run around than our house now.

William at 2 months

Ok so I am so sorry that I haven't been very good at keeping this blog updated but I have been very busy with adjusting to 2 kids. Here is the information on William:

Height: 23 1/2" (73%)
Weight: 15 lb. 1 oz (99%)
Head: 16" (67%)

William is a growing boy that is for sure. He is eating all the time and that is why he weighs so much.

William loves to be smiled at and to be talked to. He doesn't like his carseat at all unless it is moving. He also doesn't take naps very well especially when Aidan is awake.
We went outside yesterday for one of the first times. I just put William in my carrier and he fell asleep. Aidan loves it outside. He can't get enough of it. At night we have to drag him in because he just loves the space.

Here are some pictures for you all:

William at 1 month

Wow! I can't believe William is already a month old. He is getting so big. He is starting to fill out in his face and belly. His legs, arms, hands and feet are still skinny but with Aidan it was about 2 months before those filled out. William has slept through the night one time already. He is a pretty good sleeper. He only get up at the most 3 times during the night. He is also getting on more of an eating schedule now. At night before bed though he tries to eat all night long.

Here are some pictures that I took on his 1 month:

2 Week Doctor appointment

Well William is already 3 weeks old. I can't believe it has been that long already. Will went to the doctor yesterday for his 2 week check up.

Here are his stats:

Weight 9lbs 7 oz (40%)
Height 21 1/2" (49%)
Head 14 3/4" (34%)

So he is pretty well proportionate in size.

I am sure it won't take him long to get up in the high percentiles because he loves to eat. It seems like that is all he wants to do is eat.

Today is one of the first days that I have been alone with the 2 boys for all day. It has been going pretty well. Aidan has a cold so he has been crabby but they are both sleeping right now so I get to have a little bit of a break and get some stuff done around the house.

Well I am going to include some pictures for you all. Hope you enjoy them.

Welcome to the World!!

Steve and I would like to welcome to the world William Joseph Schmidt!! He was born on February 9, 2009 at 12:13 pm. He weighed 8 pounds 3 ozs and was 22 inches long.

Steve and I had to be at the hospital at 6:00 am on Monday for my induction. I had to be poked 3 different times for an IV. The nurses couldn't get a vein that would work. The doctor broke my water at about 8:30 am and she said that I was dilated 5 to 6. She also said that if I wanted pain medicine that I shouldn't wait to long to get it because it probably wouldn't take very long. Well it really didn't take very long. I was in labor a total of 3 1/2 hours and after 15 pushes my little Will was born. It was so awesome!!
Steve and I have both noticed that we are much more calm about William which is good. Aidan is doing well with his new brother. He likes to rub his head and he also like to take pictures with him. He also goes around saying "baby brother". He has been such a good little boy about this big change.

Well here are some pictures of William! I know this is what you all have been waiting for! If you would like to see some of the pictures on the hospital website here is a link. http://www.our365.com/NewbornPortraits/BabyDetail.aspx?birthid=c65745c6-7912-4de6-864d-63532ac3cfdf

Aidan update

Well last Thursday since it was so nice out Steve and I decided that we needed to get Aidan out of the house. We went to Blue Earth to go sledding. We were there for about an hour but Aidan could have stayed there for the whole afternoon. Here are some pictures of our day:

Aidan and Steve coming down the hill. Both of them smiling from ear to ear!

I really wanted to go down the hill too but decided it was better if I didn't. Next year will be a better time for me to go sledding!
