House Progress

This was a very progressive week for the house. We had lots of things accomplished and it made me very excited about the house again. I am hoping this coming week will be just progressive. Here are some pictures of what has changed:


This is the front of the house with all the siding and the 2 pillars holding the front porch up. We still have to have our rock put on the front but they need some warm days to do that.

This is the framing for the "L" in the kitchen.

This is the framing for the fireplace in the living room. We decided that we weren't going to frame it all the way to the ceiling so we are going to have a shelf at the top. Steve and I now have to find something big to decorate up there. It could also be interesting to dust up there also. You will be able to see the top from the balconey so I will have to dust at least once a year!

Well I finally got out to the new house to get some pictures. It was slippery all around the house but I was careful. This next week the framer is coming back to frame stuff in the basement and build some stairs from the main floor to the basement.

Happy New Year!!

I know that I haven't update here in a while. I just have been kind of lazy about it.

Well we are getting down there in time until the baby is due. I only have 5 1/2 weeks left!! I am very excited about getting the baby out. I have been having a lot of back pains and not sleeping very well, which I know is normal but I don't remember this from when I had Aidan. I had an appointment with my doctor last Friday. My blood pressure was a little high and I had some protein in my urine which both of these are signs of preeclampsia. I just have to watch myself for headaches that don't go away and any swelling.

The house is doing well. Today the plumbers started roughing in the plumbing upstairs. We also have 3/4 of the house sided. As soon as there is a day that is warm I will try to get some pictures. Since we got ice we now have ice all around the house so it may be a long while until I get pictures. Tomorrow we should be meeting with the electrician and then they will also start roughing in the electrical.

Aidan is doing well. We are still dealing with him going to bed at night. When he turned 2 we put him in a toddler bed. Then he figured out that he has freedom and can get out. So now every night we fight with him to stay in his bed. If anyone has advice on how to cure this I would love to hear it!!

We have Windows and Doors!!

Well today since it was half way nice out I went to go and see what they have been working on in the house. To my surprise we have all doors and windows in the house. I have included pictures of the progress that has happened.

Front Door-The door is just a construction door. The actual door will have glass in it to match the sidelights.

Last week we also got Aidan's 2 year pictures taken along with our family picture taken. I have included a couple of those pictures too!

House update

Well we finally have windows in our house. There are a about 4 windows that still need to be put in but other wise all the windows are in. We also have the Tyvek paper on the outside and most of the soffits up. I have included some of the most recent pictures.

Basement Floor

We also finally have our Christmas tree up. I have been kind of lazy about it but I finally got it up. Aidan helped me put it up. Here are a couple of pictures:

House Progress

Well for the house we have our plumbing all roughed in for the basement. That was done all last week.

Today they came and poured half of our basement floor. We also have our temporary heat on now too. I think by the end of the week or the beginning of next week we will start seeing some siding and windows and doors going in!! That will be wonderful to get that all done so they can start working on the inside.

That is about all that has happened will update with some picture maybe on Wednesday!!

Weekend

Well thank goodness the weekend is over with!!

Friday I had my doctor appointment. Everything is doing really well. I gained a little weight and I was measuring 33.5 cm. So I am a little bigger than what I should be but I grew proportionately from the last time so I didn't get to have another ultrasound :(.

Saturday came and ended up being a long day. Aidan woke up and we had some orange juice and then he started puking. It was not fun especially since this was the first time he has ever been sick like that. He also had some high fevers but we got them under control with Tylenol and Motrin. We also bought a new thermometer that works awesome!! Steve loved it and had to play with it a while. Aidan actually doesn't mind it either.

Sunday came and it was a pretty calm day. Aidan was feeling better but we still just hung around home since we weren't sure if we should go anywhere yet.
